Let's break ice

There was a cosplay event a Liang Court today(28/3), I was going to be late inevitably cos my class ended at 4pm as usual. The event ended quite early imo, so only reach there to see what was left. My impression? The cosplays were generally very well done :)
Melon Pan~ from 4leaves bakery located below Liang Court.

Right now I feeling ranting about some people. I don't feel bitter towards them but rather how they act. Let's say you are at your friend's party and most of the guests have arrived. Usually the host is suppose to introduce one another and break the ice right? Its something simple and helps greatly when you are social networking. Amazingly some people miss out this important step and the party ends up divided into different cliques.

As simple as ice breaking sounds, I get answers from some people when I ask if I could join them for whatever event (outing, gathering...etc..). Answers like, "You don't know them want la..", "For what you want come?" and whatever that comes close to this answers. I feel like smacking them in the face with "You don't know me meh?", isn't it enough that we know each other. Have you thought of introducing your clique to break the ice and get along better? You sure know how to act cold.

If you know what is a middleman, thats really great. You know both your friends, but both of them don't know each other. What do you do, middleman?

Detroit Metal City

Wanted to mention this earlier before I forget. Go watch DMC! (Detroit Metal City) if you have not watched the anime or read the manga before. Personally I didn't laugh that much as I should, cause of the fact that I have watched the anime before and read the manga as well.
Mostly I did enjoy was the funny acting which is something new aside from the jokes.

Recently, watched it with 3 friends of mine on monday. 2 of them which never watched DMC before, laughed so much during the movie. Along with everyone else in the cinema and their hysterical laughters. Their comments on the movie? "Okay la.." I don't think that is being honest at all. Your delight is showing when you were watching the movie. So don't try to hide it.

The same thing i heard when we went to watch Love Matters. Just because it is a Singaporean film, some people don't want to watch it. But ended up laughing and enjoying the movie alot? They should be more open and try more things before saying "no".

How could someone say something(show, game, sport etc..) is bad/boring/[insert choice of word here] when he/she has not tried it before?

Today's Chef...

Chef Horace.
In celebration of dominic's ROD and safe trip to Japan, we got joey horace to cook for us.
Inside the house...
It's hard to watch anime with a puppy staring at you.

Background in photo, mahjong table. Later learned how to play mahjong, roughly get the idea of playing from a few rounds. Considering that i learn nothing much from playing on viwawa. If you look even harder, you can see someone in the background. Horace playing psp again. lol.

Food tasted good ^_^
Joey trying to spike the doggy's hair:

Joey can talk to animals too.
If you want learn his language, need pay him tution fee $1m.

Btw, the dog is a girl. Joey won't leave any girls alone 1. LoL.

Horace took a dip in the pool den dry himself like a dog also =x
Hide and seek:
After the bbq, mahjong, went home, and out again to overnight lan at cyrus. @_@

Rainbow

Another day of Japanese lesson,...6 more lessons to go. The pace is definitely getting faster. We got this set of cool notes today. The Japanese always got very cool different ways of doing things.
This verb sheet we're given has different verbs attached with the meanings in english we can flip open to see. The different groups of verbs come in different coloured paper. Adds more colour to learning (:

Anyway, on the way home I noticed how the sky was pinkish yellow with 2 rainbows. Second rainbow is a little harder to see. I wish i had a better camera when i see sights like this. Not being able to capture the brilliance as I see is a little frustrating..

Had about 6 friends over at my place in the evening for resident evil 5. Ended up getting hooked to playing word challenge on facebook. lol. I was originally playing monster hunter and ended up getting reeled in by my cousin playing on facebook. Word challenge is where you form words using 3-6 letters. I had a little help from the 2-3 brains behind me, haha.

Nemui...

Went to cyrus(lan) at river valley road last night and played till morning. My second time there already. Good thing is when you log in garena over there, your account is registered as gold member! They also have L4D there but you need to pay for VIP room if you wan play L4D. L4D a luxury? Places like game haven, original steam also cheaper.

Good thing is that cyrus is located next to a overnight open foodhouse so no problem if you get hungry in the middle of the night. The food also damn nice 1, place is 'SpizE!' if you heard of it. They have another branch at sempang bedok, coincidentally nearby a lanshop also. Having a headache now @_@ but I can't fall asleep at 6pm..

Was sleeping until woke up by handphone at 3pm den cant go back to slp. My 14?yr known friend, Dominic just ROD and want to celebrate... omedeto!

IT Fair

Got myself another thumbdrive at the IT fair today. Damn.. it was crowded like crazy...like all the way to level 1.. I didnt walk around much but the prices were quite ok. Slightly cheaper than the last fair imo not sure about certain products. Got my thumbdrive a dollar cheaper than last time haha. 2.1 Altec Lansing Speakers $229, from $300 i heard.

Outside suntec the traffic was damn bad. Green light also cannot drive pass cos got 1 whole row of cars park there trying to get into suntec.

Decided to go find my classmate working at the fair as a camera salesman. His selling Ranger brand cameras. 5.1 megapix camera with quite a range of media capabilities like games etc... The display screen is quite wide and the applications doesn't lag. For $199 i think its quite good for this range of cameras.

Picture is off focus cos he doesn't want to be taken of hahahaha..
Didnt really want to stay around longer since the place was so packed. Would appreciate if some shoppers not block the walking paths if they were going to stand and see the products.

There were some games showcased such as GTA4, asiasoft's sudden attack and microsoft's xbox and sony's ps3 titles. Nothing new in particular. Same usual kids hogging the games.. what more can I expect anyway lol.

Picnic

So it's been a little while since I last posted. So this post will be longer than usual :) Been sleeping & slacking for the past 2 days trying to forget about my school life. I don't want to think about it anymore, so anyway i slept early on friday (like 9...) after finishing my japanese homework.

Saturday came, went for lesson. Hehe, don't have any pictures, but I'll remember to take some next time. anyway..

Mission start! The objective was to give horace a more fun lesson. So somewhere along the lesson we were suppose to read aloud from the textbook script. Horace got the easy line, "Konnichiwa". So we (jaden and i) said that it was too easy and got him to say another line (haha) hoping he screws up the pronouciation (usually does).

Later, there was a class activity. Scissors paper stone aka' jankenpon where the loser has to give his name, favourite food/colour/place and the reason that he is studying japanese. Horace wasn't honest and didnt say his reason was so he can watch RAW japanese hentai. He even said his favourite place was school(SP), lol and i remember him stating on his blog "fuck TP SP".

 うそつき Usotsuki... Liar...

After class we went off to meet andy and his close friends for dinner at bugis junction. You can see the photo above, a lovely sushi picnic by the carpark entrance. They look like their discussing some sort of battle strategy imo lol.

Anyway since phantasy star was released, horace has been asking everyone if they have played it. Btw his favourite fruit is starfruit, so the obsession with stars.. and he doesn't even know hoshi means star.

So...

You got play phantasy star?

No?
So we decided to head to game haven @safra for L4D. On the way there during the short bus trip...

Horace got bored and decided to read his health magazine. It was so interesting that Nicholas also joined in! ^_^ Than suddenly all hell broke lose on the bus...

Caption the above however you like ^^
Upon reaching gamehaven we discovered... If you have 6people or more you get charged at $1.50 per hour (nice deal), suan those people that less den 6 people 1.. Not only that but NSmen get 50% discount! *Hints at zhenjie* (: Not that I am in NS but theres at least  2 NSmen among us.

..Strangely they did not register the IDs as NSmen eventhough it is clearly NSmen ID. Poor service. Play halfway the com restarted..wtf?

Reason.....power trip.
So we chg coms in the end. Waste of time need to patch L4D again... We still manage to play about 12chapters of L4D 3vs4 +1outsider ...and Home sweet home~

Phantasy star FTW!! Sneaking every chance to play the psp, as expected from horace. Not to mention YT also. haha

NENDO YOKO!

Just collected my nendoroid yoko today. After the incident where I open the box to find broken joints, I decided to open all the boxes i purchased and check the contents in case. At least I can exchange if theres any faults within 7 days. Imo Yoko is the hardest to assemble among the other nendoroids I have come acrossed. Usually the reason being the parts are too tight and require twisting and turning rigorously.

The rifle comes with changeable straps which is made of elastic plastic. I had plenty of trouble just changing the rifle straps. Her glasses are attached to her fringe and was simple enough to assemble. Her scarf is removeable as well and was a little of a hassle to strap the rifle on to her back. Its a good thing i didnt break any parts or joints (:

Packed it back into the box to protect it from dust. Btw the box looks great!
If you are thinking of getting one, theres still stock! She costs about SGD$48 and you can find her at www.toyntoys.com

Tanjobi omedeto Jaden san

I want to wish Happy birthday again to my friend, Jaden. In celebration we went to a Japanese restaurant that his uncle works at. Here is the picture of the birthday cake (: Prawn fritters, salmon roe, avocado and rice is about all i can remember. Very tasty combination.  I was already quite full or I would have taken larger portions.

The restaurant is at 20 Lorong Telok #01-01 Singapore049032, Boat Quay. The cake comes with the birthday 6 course meal at $60 per head. You can call the place up for details at 65321284.

The cake was shared among 5 people so I am not sure if 1 serving is a lot. But it still tasted great anyway, dun believe can ask horace(uma-san). Although I think he may find his psp more tasty.

P.S: Feel free to caption the picture below LoL.

Yawnz...

Seriously some of my friends have like no responsibility one leh, play dota halfway go missing without saying a word. For example, today. My friend, zy  went afk and I had to control 2 players. If he was afk for like 5-10mins, it is still manageable. But he was afk for almost the whole game. His reason for afking was "Help customer scan things". He works for his father at a lanshop. Seriously, If he gonna end up working why bother playing dota in the first place.

I rather play alone, if he is gonna end up afking like almost the whole game. So after the game was over, I thought maybe can revenge and fight the same opponent. Then he tell me he don't want play already. wat the..f? So this is what they meant by playing with friends.  It's like their not there in the first place.

Since my dota game this afernoon 1pm, I've been sleeping for 9hours already.. end up waking up and playing monster hunter. Managed to kill the khezu(wyvern) just before my battery died lol. Its back to sleep if I want to wake up in the morning.

Meanwhile, I want to recommend dragonica online to anyone out there!
You can think of it as a 3D maplestory but the gameplay definitely stands out from maplestory.
If you like more action based gameplay that is. Not to mention the community there is good too, for the time being at least. Since iahgames is publishing it, so the management of the game is surely in good hands. Do give this game a try (:

A boring day

Woke up at 7pm today yesterday and started recalling the hiragana i memorized yesterday. Was able to recall everything without refering to my notes (: I still have got 15 more letters to memorize by this coming saturday... heh

Today I ended up playing monster hunter for hmm 5hours.. Gave up doing my 3d model after working on it for 3-4hours. The whole transparency texturing got me into a bad mood and I just decided to take a break.

What you see above, is how it suppose to turn out...but I had trouble getting it right. Pretty decent looking tree made by my friend, Zul. Hmm...I think I'll probably revert my biological clock back to normal by saturday or I will end up dozing off in Jap class. Besides being tired in the day, it's really hard to find friends to play with at this time(5am) = =

Here's the concept for my plant monster model that I'm working on currently. The nasty looking drawing that's pointing to the plant is a close up of how it suppose to look. It is supposed to be....eggs? gas sacts cause this plant emits poison gas. The petals(mouth) is suppose to open up showing it's head(flower bud) which shoots seeds at enemies. Wasn't something I thought of in 1 day...so I'm satisfied with the whole concept. =] I'm gonna go back to work now unless someone can accompany me a game of dota.
またあした!
See you tomorrow!

Jub[e]at!

Went to watch suspect X in the cinemas today, great movie. Try it out if you like mysteries and Japanese films. Always wanted to play street fighter IV and jubeat at the arcade but always got lots of people de.

Finally got a chance to try out jubeat today, if you haven't tried it yet, you should. It's a ryhtmn game that involves pressing the buttons on the 4x4 grid matching the song's beats. The game is quite easy to pick up and the gameplay is fun :) But don't get cocky just because it looks easy.

Left: Level 1 song Middle: Level 5 song Right: 4beats at once

Normally you get to play 3 songs total but mr.zhenGyi here only got to play 2 songs. He bravely attempted an advanced lv5 song when he failed at lv1 difficulty. Why am I mocking him? This joker here non stop babbling about how I should play when I was playing. So in the end I let him try, and the results were...

Don't let his lousy score stop you from trying this great game :D Seriously it's not as hard as DJmax and all those other rythmn games. There are 3 difficulties in all, easy, advanced, extreme and extreme difficulty is still within a beginner's reach. My other friend, kok weng tried advanced difficulty when he playing for the first time and failed but 2nd try onwards got a C, B grade.

The songs are like 90% j-pop including artists such as ayumi hamasaki, ai otsuka, UVERworld, mihimaru GT...so it was really damn shiok imo. $2 1 try, played 4 times den the arcade close ady, will definitely play again next time, probably try out the versus function.

Before signing off, i want to wish horace best of luck to studying japanese. Katagana is Katakana and Kiragana is Hiragana. Uma-san gambaro. Btw Uma means Horse(Horace).

im ALIVE!

Wootz blog post after so long, finally got a blog skin... A big THanks to joann for helping me with the blogskin and tagbox. No thanks to some people who said they would help but didn't.

As for the picture above it's to help collect the ink splat that this blog skin gives. I'll probably get a better blogskin in the hopefully near future, anyway that wolf as you can see...is for my game proposal and robbed me over 12hours of free time. Eventhough holidays just started, it will still be work work work for me, now that my project leader has scheduled us with lots of work to do during the holidays.

Now that I'm done, at least for the time being. Im making this blog post at 7+ in the morning lulz. Been sleeping at around 8am these days, the latest i woke up was 7pm yesterday...and I'm missing the sun a lot. Gonna slack off for awhile before i head to bed, ciaoz.
